Do you think the Hemi Orange Pearl challenger in these decades will be a collectible?

- The Challenger SRT8 rolled out of a delivery truck and sat on two collections for 16 years.
- Powered by a 425 hp Hemi V8 and a six-speed manual, its original MSRP is $42,640.
- Despite its age, the car still includes original window stickers and delivery orders.
In the world of collectible muscle cars, the low mileage is king, but one mile? This is actually a unicorn lady and gentleman, and what you’re looking at here is probably the lowest Dodge Challenger of 2009. This absolutely original SRT8 is only one mile-driven and has been listed through Vantage Auto in Moonachie, NJ for $50,000.

Yes, $50,000 is a lot of money for a 16-year-old muscle car, especially when you can still find brand new challengers to collect dust at dealers. But this generation of challengers is the last generation controversial when cars pursue electrification, making those who mourn the demise of the V8.
Whether you’re in favor of the original 2008-2014 look or one of the future updates is a matter of taste, but either way, well-preserved early models can be a good appreciation for whether it remains the same.
One time capsule on four wheels
According to the seller, the Challenger SRT8 rolled down, then boarded directly onto the tablet and placed in the collection. It has been owned by two people since New, including original window stickers and delivery orders. The window sticker shows that it was priced at $42,640 when it was first delivered. The 6.1-liter V8 is paired with a six-speed TREMEC manual transmission at 425 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, which is the $695 option of the day.

The classic muscle car is finished in one of the Challenger’s most gorgeous colors, Hemi Orange Pearl, which includes racing stripes with artificial carbon fiber finish. When the car spends his whole life in the garage, there seems to be no minimal wear on the outside.

The interior is equally perfect. It wears chunky seats in black leather, suede at the front and bright orange accents on the backrest. The original airbag warning sticker is still hanging from the debris box, and there is even a small card on the driver’s sun visor, detailing some of the Challenger’s most important features.

The list does not disclose whether the car has been repaired, but if it is not repaired, all its liquids and tires will need to be changed, and if the next owner plans to drive it, check it out. However, it seems that those who meet the keys seem more likely to follow the example of previous owners and store them in the collection, which is the last of the dying breed and is likely an appreciative asset.
