- An Oregon woman was reportedly caught driving a Toyota Tundra at nearly 100 mph.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which unfortunately means a lot of drunk driving. As Mothers Against Drunk Driving recently noted, the night before Thanksgiving is “Blackout Wednesday,” as many people head to bars to have fun with friends and family.
This could have deadly consequences, as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that 35% of fatal crashes on Thanksgiving Eve 2022 involved drunk drivers. Even more concerning is that 23% of drivers involved in fatal crashes had a blood alcohol content of 0.15 or higher.

It’s worth thinking about today for two reasons, because it’s Thanksgiving Eve and police in Hillsborough, Oregon, recently pulled over a driver who was allegedly too drunk to even notice he was drive. Worse yet, this reportedly happens at speeds approaching 100 mph (161 km/h).
On November 25 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Hillsborough Police Department was notified that a white pickup truck was driving recklessly on Highway 26. Shortly after police were dispatched, people called 911 saying the truck had crashed near Brookwood Parkway.
Police eventually arrived on scene and found a damaged Toyota Tundra. As you can see in the pictures, the front wheel leaves almost no trace and the tire is completely gone. The rear tires are still present but are no longer attached to the vehicle.
The driver, Skylar Peplinski, 35, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving. The department said her blood-alcohol level was 0.29, nearly four times the legal limit.
