
According to a statement from the European Commission on March 27, the EU has taken restrictive measures against another 25 people and seven entities in Belarus to undermine democracy, support internal repression and engage in military cooperation with Russia in its war in Ukraine.
The Council said: “The EU has listed the Vice-Chairman and Secretary of the Central Election Commission (CEC) and its members,” the Council explained: “The CEC organized the presidential election in 2025, which is neither free nor fair, and has been violated in the atmosphere of violations and human rights violations,” and with Berachus’ commitment to Belarus for security organizations in Europe and the European Union.
The new name also includes Aleh Ramanau, the chairman of the Belarusian parliament’s largest party, and nine judges who have issued “political motive sentences, including against citizens protesting against the Lukashka regime, or protesting against the Lukashka regime, or opposing dissidents, thus participating in the suppression of civil society and democratic opposition.
Several companies supporting the regime are also targeted, including Ridotto LLC, an online gambling company, and its majority shareholder, Dzmitry Shvedka; Belorusskiye Loterei, which operates the lottery business in Belarus; and companies active in the country’s military industrial complex: OJSC plane, precise power mechanics factories and JSC points.
The sanctions list also includes “a prominent member of the Presidential Property Administration, allegedly a Belarusian government agency directly from Lukashenka, generating income for the regime and deriveing income from it,” Tsybulka-Bel LLC and an agricultural agency with the Belarusian agency’s actions ruled the lawsuit.
Designated people will freeze assets and EU citizens and companies are prohibited from providing funds to them. Natural persons are also subject to travel bans to prevent them from entering or transiting.
Through these additions, EU restrictive measures against Belarus are now applicable to 310 individuals and 46 entities.
