The 500e is now cheaper to lease than the Nissan Versa in the US

- Current lease agreements for the electric hatchback include $2,999 due at signing.
- While it’s cheap, the 500e’s small size doesn’t make it particularly practical.
People aren’t buying Fiat 500e anymore. Stellantis recently extended a production stoppage of its small electric cars and will not start production until November 1 due to low demand. However, is now the time to sign a deal to lease a 500e in the US?
Lease prices for the 2024 500e are as low as $199 for 36 months, with $2,999 due at signing. Taking into account the upfront payment, the effective monthly cost is $282, with an annual mileage cap of 7,500 miles. This is significantly cheaper than the previous lease agreement, which required a signing fee of $4,259 and monthly fees of $319.

Cars Direct points out that this makes the 500e significantly cheaper to lease than the cheapest new car in the US, the Nissan Versa.
While some might bite the bullet and add a Fiat 500e to their garage, it’s worth noting that this lovely electric car is only a two-door, and while it does have back seats, they’re pretty small. But if you want a budget city cruiser that’s both stylish and affordable, this is an enticing proposition.
That’s not the cheapest new electric car lease price we’ve seen in the U.S. this year. In March, Hyundai launched an incredible leasing deal for the Ioniq 6, making it the cheapest new car to lease in the country. In the short term, a 24-month contract is available for just $239 per month, with $239 due at signing. Unfortunately, that deal is no longer available, but Hyundai may slash Ioniq 6 lease prices next year as it prepares to launch the facelifted 2026 model.
