Can Xiaomi beat Tesla Model Y?
Chinese brands are also chasing Tesla with the second model. Last December, it previewed the new Yu7, a direct competitor to the Tesla model. Like the SU7, it can slash Tesla’s price while also having more features and a more advanced design.
Given the popularity of crossovers and SUVs in recent years, Yu7 is entirely likely to surpass the SU7. Whether it can top the model y is a different story. Last year, Tesla was the best-selling new car in China, with 480,309 examples of looking for new homes. For Xiaomi, matching or exceeding this is not easy.
