Xpeng Motors is the latest car brand to enter Ireland. The Chinese carmaker has just launched the new Xpeng G6 into the Irish market through its Irish distribution partner Motor Distributors Limited (MDL).
The first model from the brand here is the G6, a new electric coupe-SUV with two battery options available from launch.
Prices across the range start at €42,000 for standard range, rear-wheel drive with a 66kWh LFP battery and a range of up to 435km (WLTP), or €49,440 for the long-range, rear-wheel drive with an 87.5kWh lithium-ion battery. The cruising range is up to 570 kilometers (WLTP).
The all-wheel drive performance model will be launched in the third quarter of this year, with a maximum power of 476 horsepower and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in only 4.1 seconds.
The G6 also features a standard heat pump and 800-volt charging architecture, which means it can quickly charge from 10-80% in just 20 minutes on a suitable fast charger.
Standard features include 20-inch alloy wheels with Michelin tires, a panoramic glass sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, two 50W wireless smartphone charging pads, a 960W sound system with 18 speakers and a wealth of music library, video, entertainment and social media applications.
An electrically deployable tow bar is available as an option across the range, with the G6 rated to tow up to 1,500kg.
Xpeng Motors will expand its product range in Ireland in the coming months with the arrival of the G9 large SUV, P7 electric sedan and P7+ fastback.
The vehicles will initially be test driven at the Little Peng in Deans Grange, South Dublin, with further dealer appointments to follow.
