Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max debuts

While it’s unclear if the Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max will be launched in India, it is expected to be showcased at the Bharat Mobile Expo 2025

For the international market, Yamaha has launched the NMax 125 Tech Max high-end model. As the name suggests, the new NMax 125 model gets a number of technical upgrades. However, the engine and other mechanical components remain the same as before. However, for India, Yamaha seems to be considering launching the NMax 155.

Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max – What’s new?

One of the key updates on the Yamaha NMax 125 Tech MAX is the new 4.2-inch TFT instrument panel. It is a full-color unit that allows users to choose from multiple theme options. Depending on the country, the new 4.2-inch TFT instrument panel comes with Garmin navigation. Free in countries where Garmin Navigation is available.

By using the link card module, users can access various connectivity features. For example, users can check email, answer incoming calls, access text message notifications, and listen to music. Another technological upgrade is the Type-C USB charger, located in the left front pocket. On the right, users have access to a weatherproof storage compartment with a lid.

Can be used to store small items such as wallets and keys. The keyless ignition system further improves the user experience. As long as the user carries the smart key with them, there won’t be any hassle of inserting a physical key to start the scooter. Smart keyless ignition also reduces the risk of theft.

Yamaha NMax 125 Tech MAX complies with Euro5+ emission regulations. The start-stop system further reduces the carbon footprint. The engine automatically switches off when the scooter stops. To start the scooter, users simply release the brake and twist the throttle. For those who care about the environment, the Yamaha NMax 125 Tech MAX may be the first choice.

Improved styling

Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max scooter is more suitable for daily needs. For example, it has 25 liters of large under-seat storage space. It can be used to store a full-size helmet or other items such as groceries, fitness gear, or personal equipment. The new Yamaha NMax 125 Tech Max scooter comes with dual-eye projector headlights. These come with LED position lights and integrated flash.

Combined, they give the scooter a sporty and dominant feel. The rear of the car is equipped with stylish LED taillights and integrated LED flash. For a premium feel, the NMax 125 Tech Max scooter comes with a black leather seat with gold stitching and suede detailing. Yamaha offers the scooter in two unique color options – Ceramic Gray and Dark Magma.

No performance improvement

The NMax 125 Tech Max scooter will use the same 125cc engine as the standard NMax 125 variant. The liquid-cooled SOHC 4V/cylinder engine produces 12.2 PS and 11.2 Nm of torque. It is paired to a V-belt automatic transmission. The NMax 125 Tech Max has a telescopic fork at the front and a swing-type suspension at the rear. There are 13-inch wheels at both ends with disc brakes. The scooter has a wet weight of 132kg and a ground clearance of 125mm. Seat height of 770 mm ensures optimal control and maneuverability.
