Yamaha Motor India ranked seventh among the two-wheeler brands in terms of domestic sales in November 2024. Despite being overtaken by leading brands like Hero, Honda and TVS, Yamaha remains a key player in the market. The brand’s domestic sales were 55,781 units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.36% from 60,212 units in November 2023.

Yamaha Motor India reported domestic two-wheeler sales of 55,781 units in November 2024, down 7.36% from 60,212 units in the same month last year. The performance of different models varies, with some showing growth while others face significant challenges. RayZR performed best, with 14,428 units sold, a year-on-year increase of 26.54% and an increase of 3,026 units from November 2023. Similarly, MT15 sales increased by 8.25%, with 9,894 units sold, 754 units more than in November 2023. last year.
In contrast, some models have seen their numbers drop. The sales volume of the FZ series was 14,406 units, a year-on-year decrease of 1,827 units or 11.25%. Sales of Fascino, one of Yamaha’s most popular scooters, were 7,921 units, but this was a decrease of 7.52% compared to last year, with a decrease of 644 units.
The R15 suffered a sharp decline of 36.96%, with sales falling to 7,105 units and a loss of 4,165 units. Aerox suffered the biggest decline, with sales plummeting 43.95% to 2,019 units, a decrease of 1,583 units. R3 and MT03 contributed 8 units.

According to year-on-year analysis, Yamaha Motor India’s month-on-month (MoM) sales performance for November 2024 has declined significantly. The total domestic two-wheeler sales fell by 25.97% in November to 55,781 units, as compared to 75,349 units in October 2024, a decrease of 19,568 units.
Although RayZR scooters performed best, they fell sharply by 21.80% month-on-month, with sales in November falling by 4,023 units to 14,428 units. Similarly, FZ series sales fell by 19.40%, with sales falling by 3,468 units to 14,406 units. Another main model, MT15, fell by 26.19%, with sales of 9,894 units, a decrease of 3,511 units from October.
Scooters like the Fascino and Aerox are also in trouble. Fascino sales fell by 30.08%, decreasing by 3,408 units to 7,921 units. Aerox sales dropped 28.56% in November to 2,019 units, a decrease of 807 units from the previous month. R15 had the largest decline among the main models, with a month-on-month decrease of 37.94%. Sales fell to 7,105 units, a decrease of 4,344 units. At the same time, the sales volume of R3 and MT03 in November was only 8 units, a decrease of 7 units from October, a significant drop of 46.67%. The sharp sequential decline reflects lower post-holiday demand, which is typical of the Indian two-wheeler market.
