(Pro) Technical Symposium Program was established by ZF Aftermarket, a part of the ZF Group that focuses on the aftermarket rather than the OEM transmission they are well-known for.
The ZF Friedrichshafen AG (aka ZF Group) is known for transmission because their eight-speed torque converters have become the backbone of premium cars around the world, appearing in luxury sedans, coupes, coupes, and even off-road vehicles. However, ZF Group is also the location of ZF’s after-sales market, mainly concentrated in the after-sales service industry. To expand their business in the lucrative Indian auto market, they opened the first (Pro) Tech Plus workshop to provide training, technical knowledge and service data for the workshop. The ZF (PRO) Technology Network opened in 2012 and has been doing so for more than a decade in many different countries around the world, including Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
Their latest ZF (Pro) Tech Plus workshop in Delhi was opened by Markus Wittig, head of passenger car at the Global Business Line, Vijay Khorgade, head of passenger car IMEA for passenger car at ZF Aftermarket and Vijay Khorgade, head of passenger car at Business Line. Rolly Chadha, head of European automotive engineering and owner of the seminar, also attended the ceremony.
The ZF (PRO) Technical Workshop receives access to technical data, service events, marketing support and training programs, while the ZF aftermarket is currently operating at over 140 ZF (PRO) Technical Startup Workshops in India. This is the first ZF (Pro) Tech Plus workshop that provides on-site support and annual training. ZF Group plans to expand the network of ZF (Pro) Tech Start and ZF (Pro) Tech Plus workshops over the next two years.
