Autohunter Spotlight: 1963 Plymouth Belvedere

There is one in Plymouth When it redesigned the 1962 full-size series, the problem was in the hands. Although the internal measurements are comparable to those sold on the street by Chevrolet and Ford, the external proportions of the trim are not suitable for the public’s perception of the better the bigger one. The advantage is that everything is equal and Plymouth performs better than their scattered competitors. Even in the resistance, Super Stock 413 players can get 409 and 406 racers.

Plymouth added a few inches of time to the length of 1963 to help correct the problem, which helped in its “real” full-size series that emerged in 1965. On Autohunter is this 1963 Belvedere two-door sedan that embodies all the impressive stuff about the super-super stock of the time. Even better, this red overshot example comes with Keith Black 572Ci Hemi, PushButton 727 Torqueflite, Dana 60, barrel seats, and more.

Check out this hygienic mopa! Apart from the longitudinal side decoration, this Belvedel is completely undecorated, and even has side mirrors to distract. . . Well, maybe I’m saying it too early, because an inspiring hood has been added. The 15-inch American racing Torq thrust wheels are wrapped in the lotus body radially, with the latter being 26 x 7.5 inches in front and 29 x 12.5 in back.

The cabin is provided with red vinyl, and a pair of barrel seats replaces the original bench. Chrysler’s famous push-button automatic transmission selector is located on the left side of the steering wheel, while at the bottom right you’ll find a custom gauge bracket. Other features include an AM radio, Grant steering wheel and a disassembled rear seat, but don’t bother, racer-fixed, no rear seat means less weight on the driving wheel, but two batteries are in the trunk to correct that.

The dashboard consists of a 120 mph speedometer and meter for oil pressure, coolant, alternator and fuel. There are also voltage meters, 10,000 rpm tachometers, and even more gauges for oil pressure and coolant under the dashboard and below the above specifications. The odometer currently shows 143 miles, which is obviously not a reflection of the actual miles.

The Keith Black Racing Engines Hemi measures 572CI and has a Dyno-rated 750 horsepower assisted by four barrels of Twin 850-CFM. Other underdeveloped features include a 4030 racing cam, a 10-quart oil pan and a four-inch Doug header. This is one of the cars known as the “Dial Champion” due to the torsional rock reaching the arm within reach.

The Dana 60’s rear axle has 4.10 gears and limited slip. Of course, this power requires a dual exhaust system.

This semi-powered 1963 Plymouth Belvedere two-door sedan is a large car that requires muscle driving. Complete the task? Think of this as a challenge – just make sure to place your bid by 11:45 am (PDT) on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
