AutoHunter Featured It’s this Pro-Touring 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I SportsRoof. Powered by a 510-horsepower 351 Cleveland V8 engine and Toploader four-speed manual transmission, this fastback features color-keyed racing mirrors, LED lighting, hood pins, rear window blinds, and more. This pony car is finished in Wimbledon White over a black vinyl interior and comes from the selling dealer with a build sheet, Marti report and a clear title.
The Wimbledon White hue is complemented by a satin black hood and black side stripes. Other features include rear window louvers, front and rear spoilers, rocker moldings, color-keyed racing mirrors, non-functional hood scoop, hood pins and LED headlights.
A set of knock-off 17-inch aluminum wheels are wrapped in staggered radials, with a pair of 245/45 Sailun Atrezzo up front and 275/40 Firestone Indy 500s out back.
The cab has black vinyl upholstery, and the front bucket seats are bisected by the console. Other features include power steering and AM radio as well as modifications such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a tilt-adjustable column and engine-turned aluminum dash and door trim.
The instrument panel consists of Autometer Sport Comp gauges, which include a 160-mph speedometer, a 10,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The odometer currently shows 345 miles, but the car’s true mileage is unknown.
Although originally powered by a four-barrel 351 Windsor, this 1969 Mustang now featured the Cleveland variant introduced the following year. This balanced blueprint engine is rated at 510 horsepower and features four-bolt power, 4V cylinder heads, Ford Racing valve covers, Edelbrock RPM intake and fuel components, aluminum radiator, custom headers, and more. The original automatic transmission has been replaced by a Toploader four-speed manual transmission.
The undercarriage features adjustable front shock absorbers and CALTRACS rear shock absorbers. Wildwood four-wheel disc brakes feature slotted and cross-drilled rotors. The 9-inch Ford rear features a Detroit Locker with 3.55 gears. Dual exhaust systems (of course!) move smoke out to the rear.
