Chevrolet unveils new LT and 2025 Silverado EV model lines

The Chevrolet Silverado EV lineup will expand in 2025, with the company adding a mid-level LT trim and standard and maximum range batteries. The latter is especially noteworthy because it increases the truck’s range to an EPA-estimated 492 miles (792 kilometers).

Starting with the Silverado EV LT, this truck starts at $75,195, which makes it $14,200 cheaper than the range-topping RST. That’s a sizable saving, and the model comes with a unique front bumper, illuminated bowtie badge and 18-inch aluminum wheels. They also come with a Multi-Flex tailgate and six colors, including LT-exclusive Blue Smoke Metallic.

Chevrolet didn’t delve into too many details, but confirmed that the model has an 11.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 17.7-inch infotainment system.

Power is provided by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that produces up to 645 hp (481 kW / 654 PS) and 765 lb-ft (1,036 Nm) of torque. It comes with an extended-range battery that allows the model to travel 408 miles (657 kilometers) on a single charge. Buyers will also find 300 kW DC fast-charging capability and 12,500 lb (5,670 kg) towing capacity.

Buyers looking for more equipment can get the Premium package, which raises the price to $81,995. Chevrolet isn’t saying much about it, but the package adds 22-inch wheels, which drops the range to 390 miles (628 kilometers). Customers can also find options like Super Cruise and an Avalanche-like mid-door.

The fleet-focused Work Truck (WT) returns, starting at $57,095. There’s no estimate yet for the new standard-range version, but the model with the extended-range battery will cost $69,495 and can travel 422 miles (679 kilometers) on a single charge.

The big news for 2025 is the addition of the Max Range variant, priced at $77,795. That’s quite expensive for a work truck, but the EPA-estimated range is 492 miles (792 kilometers). In addition to the new battery, the WT also gets “more options” including a slate gray paint job.

Finally, the RST’s price has dropped significantly, starting at $89,395 instead of $96,495. Price isn’t the only factor that’s dropped, however, as the truck now comes with two different battery packs.

Extended Range models have an EPA-estimated range of 390 miles (628 kilometers), while the $97,895 Max Range truck has a GM-estimated range of 460 miles (740 kilometers). By comparison, the 2024 RST First Edition has a GM-estimated range of 440 miles (708 kilometers).

In addition to the above tweaks, RST also offers a new trim-exclusive Zephyr Blue Matte Metallic paint. We’ll likely know more closer to launch, but shipping should begin before the end of the year.
