Cumulative 2W sales of TVS motors increased by 11.47% year-on-year

TVS Motor Company recorded strong year-on-year growth of 11.47% in November 2024, selling a total of 3.92 lakh two-wheelers in the domestic and international markets. Among them, 305,000 units were sold in the domestic market, a year-on-year increase of 6.38%. On the other hand, export volume increased significantly by 33.90%, reaching 87,150 units. The scooter segment was the star performer in November, growing by an impressive 21.94%. Its total sales were 165,000 vehicles, a significant increase from 136,000 vehicles in November 2023. TVS’s electric scooter segment, led by iQube, has proven to be a key driver of its success. Its sales increased by 57%, with sales jumping from 16,782 units in November 2023 to 26,292 units in November 2024.

TVS sold 1.80 lakh motorcycles in November 2024, an increase of 7,411 units from 1.72 lakh units sold in November last year. This resulted in a year-over-year growth of 4.29%. The main highlight of last month was the launch of the new model of Apache RTR 160 4V in India. The new USD fork is priced at Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), which is slightly more than the dual-channel ABS version by Rs 500. Here’s everything you need to know about this exciting new update.

The new model adds a 37mm gold-plated upside-down (USD) fork, improving the bike’s handling and appearance. The rounded headlights, fang-shaped LED daytime running lights and solid fuel tank are all retained. However, this version is available in three new color options – Granite Grey, Matte Black and Pearl White – each showcasing fresh, racing-inspired graphics. Otherwise, the bike remains unchanged.

The premium USD variant comes with petal disc brakes and dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), while it still gets a single shock absorber at the rear. With these advanced suspension and braking features, the bike can give serious competition to rivals like Hero Xtreme 160R 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
