— A recall has been announced for the Dodge Challenger seat backs because the left rear seat back may not lock in the upright position.
About 3,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada are being recalled so dealers can adjust the seatback latches, if necessary.
FCA received reports in August that the left rear seatback in the 2023 Dodge Challenger would not lock, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
Chrysler said the left rear seatback striker may not be properly aligned during assembly.
Federal safety standards require that seat backs be locked.
Dodge Challenger seat back recall letters will be mailed on August 15, 2024, but owners with questions should call 800-853-1403.
FCA’s Challenger seat back recall number is 38B.
