Honda has launched an updated version of Amaze in India, equipped with segment-first ADAS. The sedan is priced higher than the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which also comes with several industry-leading features, including a 360-degree camera and an electric sunroof. Honda Amaze vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Engine
After the facelift, the Amaze comes with the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 90 hp and 110 Nm and is mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT with paddle shifters. In contrast, the Dzire now comes with new powertrains, including a 1.2-litre Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 80 hp and 112 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox.

Honda claims that the Amaze has a fuel efficiency of 18.65 km/l for the manual version and 19.46 km/l for the CVT version. In comparison, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has a better mileage, with the manual version reaching 24.79 km/litre and the automatic version reaching 25.71 km/litre.

Both sedans are now visually enhanced. In the 2024 Amaze, Honda has added turn indicators, integrated LED DRLs and new LED projector headlights. The grille looks similar to the one on the Elevate SUV, while the wing-shaped LED taillights are reminiscent of the City sedan. Dual-tone machined 15-inch alloy wheels further enhance the Amaze’s appeal.
The shoulder line of the new Dzire is obviously more pronounced than before. It features sharp headlights with horizontal daytime running lights and a massive grille with horizontal slats. In addition, the sedan also gets new fog lamp housings, a shark fin antenna, a trunk lid spoiler and Y-shaped LED taillights connected by a chrome strip.

The Dzire is 2mm wider and 25mm taller than the Amaze. However, the length of both sedans is the same. Compared to its Maruti Suzuki counterpart, the Honda car has a 20 mm longer wheelbase and 34 liters more storage space.

Honda Amaze vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Features
The base V variant of the Amaze comes equipped with features such as steering controls, 4-speaker sound system, full LED lighting, 7-inch TFT display instrument cluster and 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and USB charging port . The top-spec variant is enhanced with LaneWatch camera, lane keep assist, Honda Sensing (ADAS suite), adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation and several other advanced technologies. Other standard features include hill start assist and six airbags.

The entry-level Dzire LXI gets hill assist, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, six airbags and three-point seat belts for all passengers. However, it misses out on some modern features like USB ports, LED lighting, and infotainment system. The top-end variant, on the other hand, comes packed with features including a 9-inch infotainment display, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and multiple USB charging ports.
Honda Amaze vs Maruti Suzuki Dzire: Prices
The Honda sedan is available in three variants (V, VX and ZX), while the Dzire is available in four variants (LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+). Amaze is priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 10.90 lakh. In comparison, Dzire is more affordable with prices starting from Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh. These are introductory prices ex-showroom.
