The event was announced with a cool video on YouTube, which pits the all-electric Hyundai Ioniq 5 N against a Toyota GR86 ICE-powered sports car. As the two models power slide around the track, the narrator says: “We race as competitors. The moment we meet, a new excitement begins. Beyond competition, united by passion.”

Hyundai will bring the i20 N Rally 1 Hybrid and Rally 2, driven by WRC drivers Thierry Neuville, Dani Sordo and Andreas Mikkelsen. Hyundai’s N division will also launch a range of production models, including the Ioniq 5 N and Elantra N, driven by TCR drivers Norbert Mischelisz and Mikel Azcona. In addition, visitors can view the Ioniq 5 N Drift Spec, Ioniq 5 N TA Spec and N Vision 74 prototypes.
Toyota’s product lineup will include the GR Yaris Rally 1 Hybrid and Rally 2, GR Supra, GR86, as well as the hydrogen-powered AE86 H2 Concept and GR Corolla prototypes, among other high-performance models. The Japan Rally Car will be driven by WRC driver Katsuta Takamoto, his father, nine-time Japan Rally Champion Norihiko Katsuta, and Toyota Gazoo Racing WRC team principal Jari-Matti Latvala.
Yeong Ho Lee, executive vice president of global operations at Hyundai Motor, said: “This event will highlight the fierce competition and camaraderie that coexist in motorsport and is an opportunity to showcase the pure passion for cars shared by Hyundai and Toyota and Toyota Motor.” We Committed to further expanding motorsport culture in the future. “
