Indonesian Electric Lighting Fair: 80% of Indonesian energy-saving lamps are imported

The annual Indonesian Electric Lighting Exhibition will be held from May 18 to 20. The national electricity penetration rate is only 56%, and the average annual growth rate of electricity demand is 10% to 15%. In order to meet the growing domestic demand for electricity, the Indonesian government decided to invest US$41.37 billion in the construction of power plants and power grids between 2006 and 2015. And invested US$26.36 billion to build a power plant project with an installed capacity of 34.244 million kilowatts.

The sales volume of energy-saving lamps and bulbs in the Indonesian market has reached about 320 million sets, of which Indonesia only produces about 20% and about 80% are imported. According to customs data, the export value of lighting products from my country! to Indonesia in 2015 exceeded US$20 million.
