Jaguar Type 00 EV concept car: styling
The design philosophy of Type 00 adheres to Jaguar’s “dynamic modernism” philosophy and embodies the principle of “copying nothing”. Styling is bold, with traditional grand tourer proportions, including a long hood and rear cabin, topped by a coupe-style roofline that gives the car a sleek, low profile. The front is adorned with a strong, angular fascia with an enclosed grille and slim lighting units located under the bonnet and mounted within the front bumper. The boxy style is evident in the grille, which showcases Jaguar’s new ‘Device Mark’, with air vents located below the bumper.
At the sides, unique body lines run the length of the vehicle, complete with flared fenders front and rear. Other nice details include brass trim strips on the front fenders that hide side-view cameras and display Jaguar’s new Jumper logo. The wheels feature a new double-J circle, which replaces the “Growler” logo. The roof has a body-colored glass panel that lets light into the interior. Moving to the rear end, the concept does away with a traditional rear windscreen in favor of a pantograph panel that can be raised to reveal storage space behind the seats. The rear bumper features a pronounced diffuser, with much of the rear area taken up by a unique grille-like panel that integrates the taillights.
Jaguar Type 00 EV concept car: interior layout
The Type 00’s interior adopts a simple layout, with a raised center console separating the driver and passenger areas. It includes two foldable displays, one for the driver and one for the co-pilot. The seats are supported by bases made of travertine stone, creating a floating effect.
Jaguar offers customization options through three “totems” (brass, travertine and alabaster), which are stored in compartments hidden behind power flaps on the fenders. By placing a totem on the center console, users can adjust the cabin’s atmosphere and influence elements such as screen displays, lighting and other settings for a personalized experience.
