The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-11 concept car, unveiled last year as a homage to the C111 prototypes of the 1970s, is currently on display at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) in Mumbai. According to the German company, the two-seater Vision One-11 concept car is a “progressive interpretation of the ’70s brand icon'” and adopts the “single bow” design language from the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS concept car. Making its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Speaking of which, the Vision One-11 concept sports a sleek, curvy exterior with a flowing body and gull-wing doors. The low-slung front fascia features a “pixelated” grille with round fog lights, as well as a long hood, sloping windshield, three hash-marked vents behind the headlights, and a display panel below the Carbon fiber splitter. The rear mimics the front, with twin round taillights on the pixelated rear graphics. There’s also a large spoiler and an aggressive diffuser at the rear. In addition to the 300 SL-style gullwing doors, the side profile also boasts 22-inch wheels with bulging wheel arches and carbon fiber sills with “blade” elements. At 1,168 mm, the Vision One-11 is approximately 51 mm taller than the C111.
Mercedes-Benz Vision 11: Interior
The pixelated pattern continues inside as well, with a touchscreen display running the company’s latest MBUX software. The silver-trimmed seats are integrated into the chassis and provide the driver with a comfortable and suitable driving position close to the pedals, F1-style steering wheel and seat backrest.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the interior “reflects the paradigm shift in the supercar segment from self-driving sports cars to autonomous electric vehicles and brings together two completely different states of existence.” As such, the company is offering both modes – Competition and Lounge. The latter’s goal is autonomous driving. The dashboard is upholstered in white fabric made from 100% recycled polyester. The interior also includes brushed aluminum trim and bright orange leather.
Mercedes-Benz Vision 11: Powertrain
Under the hood, the Vision One-11 features two axial flux motors designed by Oxford-based British motor specialists YASA. These motors are more power dense, more efficient and more compact than the radial flux traction motors found in other Mercedes electric vehicles. They draw power from batteries using “high-performance liquid-cooled cylindrical cells with novel battery chemistries.” Power and range figures are still pending.

Vision One-11 is the fifth concept car displayed in China by Mercedes-Benz after Project Maybach, Vision Maybach 6, Concept EQG, and Mercedes-AMG Vision Gran Turismo supercar concept car.
