MG Cyberster EV India launch January 2025; here’s what you’ve got

MG Motor plans to launch the much-anticipated Cyberster EV in India in January 2025, marking an important step in the brand’s electric vehicle journey. The car will be launched through MG Select Premium retail channels, providing customers with a unique premium buying experience. With cutting-edge features, a powerful electric drivetrain, and a sleek aerodynamic build, Cyberster is poised to make waves in the market. The launch reflects MG’s commitment to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and meet the country’s growing demand for sustainable and innovative mobility solutions.

MG Cyberster: Design, mechanical details and more

The MG Cyberster is likely to be available in two versions: a single motor version and a dual motor version. The car has an output of approximately 500bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The cruising range after a full charge is expected to be around 500 kilometers. The electric car is expected to be launched in complete built unit (CBU) form with an expected starting price of Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom).

The model is built on a platform derived from the 2017 E-Motion coupe concept. Its exterior design features stylish LED headlights with daytime running lights, a contoured bonnet and a split front air intake. The rear design includes arrow-shaped taillights and a split diffuser, while the side profile is defined by sharp creases, bold lines and 19- to 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Cyberster is equipped with scissor doors that add dramatic style. Its length, width and height are 4,533mm, 1,912mm, 1,328mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2,689mm.

The Cyberster’s interior features a state-of-the-art cabin with three digital displays, including a vertically stacked infotainment screen angled towards the driver. Key amenities include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, integrated 5G connectivity, wireless charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats and a premium Bose audio system. Other technology highlights include Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, regenerative braking, multiple airbags and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

MG Select: Overview

Cyberster is the flagship model of the MG Select programme, a premium brand initiative launched by JSW MG Motor India. The outlets will have a particular focus on new energy vehicles (NEVs), including hybrids, plug-in hybrids and pure electric vehicles.
