Seattle, Washington——Explore Seattle Southside is excited to announce the formation and launch of the Seattle Southside Sports League! The initiative brings together area sports facilities, hotels and cities to support sports events in the South Seattle area. The formation of the Alliance marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to leverage South Seattle’s unique sports offerings, promote the development of a vibrant sports culture, and enhance the event experience for athletes, spectators and the local community.
The mission of the Seattle South Sports Alliance is to enrich the quality of life of residents and visitors through the power of sports while fostering a vibrant sports culture that supports inclusive and equitable athletics.
“This initiative demonstrates our commitment to cultivating and supporting our region’s thriving sports destinations and vibrant sports culture,” said Cydney Marks-Nicholes, Sports Development Manager at Explore Seattle Southside. “Working with key stakeholders, we The goal is to promote South Seattle as a premier destination for major and minor sporting events.”
