Shanghai World Trade Mall was put into operation in 1999, with a total construction area of 280,000 square meters, an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, and nearly 2,000 square meters of reception halls and conference rooms of various specifications. Consisting of three main business areas: permanent exhibition (Mart), exhibition services (Expo) and business offices (Tower), it is an international professional exhibition and trade center with influence at home and abroad.
At present, nearly a thousand enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions have settled in the World Trade Center. The established enterprises have brought hundreds of millions of yuan in tax revenue to Changning District and made important contributions to regional economic development. In September 2014, after the joint acquisition by SIUD Group and Hong Kong Nan Fung Group, the company’s management has emancipated its mind, thought innovatively, and actively explored new paths of transformation and development after in-depth market research and sufficient expert demonstration, especially in close cooperation. In conjunction with the 13th Five-Year Plan of Changning District, the “Shanghai World Trade Mall Five-Year Development Strategic Plan” was scientifically prepared, aiming to build a global shopping center focusing on the fashion industry, based on the three major business sectors of display services, business office and year-round exhibition.
