ŠKODA Motorsport has unveiled the Enyaq RS Race concept car, giving people a glimpse of ŠKODA’s all-electric racing car. The concept is based on an updated version of the Enyaq Coupe RS, which is more than 300 kilograms lighter than the standard model thanks to minimal use of carbon fiber, underscoring Skoda’s focus on innovative and sustainable materials. While the striking looks and weight savings are impressive, the powertrain remains unchanged, using the same electric motor as the standard model with 335 hp and 545 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 180 km/h. The concept aims to pave the way for future electric racing cars.
Skoda Enyaq RS Race Concept: Design
Skoda has made great strides in sustainability with the Enyaq RS Race concept. Its exterior parts, such as the front fenders, bumpers, door panels, roof side panels, rear fenders, rear bumper and diffuser, are made from biocomposite, in which flax fibers are used instead of carbon. This environmentally friendly material offers similar weight savings and strength to carbon fiber.

The Enyaq RS Race also features improved aerodynamics, including redesigned air intakes, a larger front splitter, a larger rear diffuser, sharper side skirts and a large rear wing to improve traction at high speeds. Pressure and stability. The roof features vents for better airflow, and a small wing above the rear window helps direct air toward the spoiler. It also features racing-spec wing mirrors, 20-inch wheels with low-profile tires and is 70mm lower than the standard Enyaq Coupe RS for better performance and handling.

The Enyaq RS Race concept’s interior has been modified for motorsport, with an FIA-approved roll cage and racing bucket seats instead of the standard five-seat layout. The 13-inch infotainment touchscreen retains important information, and all glass panels except the windshield are made from lightweight polycarbonate to reduce weight. For even greater performance and safety, it includes a rally-spec roll cage, hydraulic handbrake and Rally2 racing pedal box. The body and interior are made of biocomposites containing flax fibers, which help make the car 316 kilograms lighter than the original model.

The Enyaq RS Race concept includes several upgrades for better performance and safety. It replaces the standard adaptive suspension with sport dampers to improve handling and responsiveness. High-performance carbon-ceramic brakes provide excellent stopping power. Safety features include a hydraulic handbrake, fire suppression system and quick-release steering wheel. Skoda has also added skid plates to protect the underbody during off-road use or track accidents. These enhancements make the Enyaq RS Race concept ideally suited to the demanding motorsport conditions.
