Evolution is not just A force in the animal kingdom. It happens in the automotive world too. Just look at the Porsche 911, whose basic design and layout have been refined over more than 60 years. The next stage of its development will affect the 2025 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet models, which will receive additional power and standard features. The Carrera S's 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six now produces 473 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, thanks to a pair of new turbochargers and charge-air cooling improvements. Porsche says the 30 extra horsepower compared to the outgoing S brings the latest model's engine "up to the performance levels previously reserved for the previous-generation 911 Carrera GTS." Costs per attendee are expected to rise next year even as growth in aviation and hotels begins to stabilize, according to a new GBTA report. The cost per person to host a meeting or event actually fell by 3% last year, is expected to increase by 4.3% this year, and is expected to increase by another 4.5% in 2025. The average daily cost per attendee will grow from $162 this year to $169 in 2025, according to the recently released 2025 Global Business Travel Forecast from business travel and meetings company CWT and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). not long ago Toyota is seen as a company that builds well-made, reliable but boring transportation equipment, many of which are fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles. Meetings and events professionals remain optimistic about the health of the industry despite the challenges, according to the latest forecast from Amex GBT. Optimism prevails even as meetings and events professionals continue to face global inflation, ongoing staffing shortages and rising attendee expectations, according to the 2024 Global Meetings and Events Forecast from American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT). In fact, 75% of more than 500 meeting professionals surveyed expressed optimism about the health of the industry. Part of the reason for this optimism may be that they are seeing both the number and budgets for in-person meetings begin to increase—70% said they expect attendee numbers to reach pre-pandemic levels by the end of the year. Not long ago When people complained that Toyota only made boring cars. Apparently, the company listened to them and did something about it. That explains performance-oriented models like the Camry TRD, the Supra Six-Speed, and Toyota's hottest hatchback, the 300-horsepower, all-wheel-drive GR (Gazoo Racing) Corolla, the latter of which comes exclusively with a six-speed stick shift. Toyota has given it several suspension, cooling, and engine upgrades for 2025, but don't worry—it's not killing off the manual transmission. An automatic transmission is, however, being added to the options list. Considering the GR Corolla was launched as a 2023 model, it's surprising Toyota has updated it so thoroughly just two years later. 1794 Edition joins 2025 Toyota Sequoia range
2024 Toyota Sequoia Five trim levels are available, ranging from the base SR5 with an 8-inch touchscreen to the Capstone with semi-aniline leather seats and 22-inch wheels. For 2025, Toyota will add some Texas-style luxury to the range with the 1794 Edition. Toyota first introduced the 1794 edition on the last-generation Tundra as a response to Ford's popular King Ranch trim level, which was inspired by 825,000 acres of Texas land and even wore a badge with the ranch's "Running W branding." Rather than being quite so literal, Toyota went a step further with 1794 to refer to the year the land on which the Tundra and Sequoia plant sit was established near San Antonio, Texas... as a ranch. Like Ford's modifications, the 1794 package also has upscale elements. On the outside, it adds a chrome grille, matching trim, and 20-inch wheels. So I decided to limit my trip for the day so it would be easier to stop at things to see along the way rather than just driving a few miles on Interstate 80. I had no real plan, but it turned out there was a lot to do and some fun photo opportunities. After leaving Salt Lake City, Utah, I took a detour to the Bonneville Salt Flats, where the fastest men on earth hope to set records. The Bonneville track is home to almost every famous racer in the world. This place is definitely haunted and has a really cool vibe. It's a long day, but the new 2025 MINI Cooper S handles it with ease. This is largely thanks to the truly excellent driver assistance options on the car. As long as you keep your hands on the wheel, it does a great job of keeping in lane, the adaptive cruise control doesn't follow too close or too far, and adjusts speed just as if I were operating it manually. I spent most of today in the middle of nowhere in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. At the end of the day, I saw a large convenience store in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the sign that read "You're Not Going Anywhere" perfectly summed up my day's driving and most of the places I passed. Reflection of truck I started at 6am and basically spent the entire day on I-80, just driving a few miles and stopping at rest areas occasionally. High-performance trucks are nothing new for Ford, but they've changed dramatically over the past 20 years. No, I'm not crazy. I’m heading to Monterey Car Week in the all-new 2025 MINI Cooper S. I was given the opportunity, and since I’ve driven to Monterey a dozen times over the years, I figured why not? Sixth Monterey Road Trip Second Monterey Road Trip I'm sure this will be the most relaxing road trip to Monterey, as every car I drive to the event is at least 25 years old. This includes a 1973 Ferrari Daytona, a 1966 Volvo 1800S, a 1968 Fiat 124 Spider, a 1986 Alfa Romeo GTV6, a Bentley Turbo, an Aston Martin DB7, and most recently, a 1984 Porsche 944.
