F1: Haas allowed to leave Netherlands after settling dispute
Haas can now ship its car and equipment to Monza for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix after Uralkali confirmed receipt of the refund. Haas has been allowed to ship its cars and equipment to Monza after settling a dispute with former sponsor Uralpotash. The Russian company had filed a lawsuit against Haas and confirmed it had received around $9 million and a Formula 1 car as part of the settlement. The team was temporarily stranded in the Netherlands during the Dutch Grand Prix due to a court-ordered intervention. Uralpotash claimed Haas had missed a July deadline to repay part of the cancelled sponsorship deal. In June, a Swiss arbitration court ruled that while Haas was justified in terminating its title sponsorship deal following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the team still owed Uralpotash a partial refund for the 2022 season.
