This custom 1951 Mercury convertible The car on display at the AutoHunter Cinema is powered by a 1949 Cadillac V8 engine that was modified with four 2-barrel carburetors and a Horne intake manifold. Originally custom built for Country Music Hall of Fame member and co-host of the TV show "Hee Haw," Buck Owens, this Mercury features a 45 rpm record player that contains Owens' records as well as memorabilia from Owens' "Hee Haw" co-host Roy Clark and trophies from various car shows in Texas. It was rescued from a field in Indiana and given a thorough rotisserie restoration. As part of the process, it was repainted in the factory's Tropical Lime Green color, which matches the green interior. The 455 is paired with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 12-bolt rear end. This upgraded T-37 sold for $30,800 at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Palm Beach auction.
