Launched in 2017, the affectionately named Disco 5 no longer carries a numerical suffix like its predecessors, the Discovery 3 and 4. What is tested here is the flagship Discovery D300 Dynamic HSETechnically, this is a 2024 model, as the 2025 model comes with the more powerful D350 turbodiesel engine. I wasn't a fan of the racy, more rounded exterior design from the start, but maybe I'll grow to like it more. That said, it's quintessentially British, elegant and sophisticated. Land Rover will make its Dakar Rally debut in 2026 with a three-car Defender fleet. Driver details have not yet been announced, but the company expects to recruit experienced racers to lead the program. Currently, Defender is the official vehicle partner of the Dakar Rally, providing 20 SUVs to event officials and VIP guests. Jaguar Land Rover India has started deliveries of the locally assembled Range Rover Sport SUV. Earlier, the company announced that it would manufacture the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport SUVs in India, making India the first country outside the UK to launch the two SUVs. Jaguar Land Rover already assembles the Velar, Evoque, Jaguar F-Pace and Discovery Sport at its Pune plant, which has a production capacity of 10,000 units per year. Being locally assembled, the Range Rover Sport is priced at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). The prices of both the petrol and diesel versions are the same.
