It consists of 164 acres (0.66 km²) of green space, including a 255,000-square-foot (23,700 m²) exhibition hall, the 10,000-seat Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 29 acres (0.12 km²) of Willow Island, and a 2.2-acre (2,000 m²) arena. After completing various planning stages in 2013, the Danish government announced on November 26 that it would award Miron Construction a $20.7 million contract to construct two new mixed-use buildings in the Alliant Energy Center Pavilion.The pavilion will total 290,000 square feet and replace nine existing farm barns.
