Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its SUV lineup with the launch of the 2024 GLE 300d 4MATIC AMG Line. Priced at Rs 97.85 lakh (ex-showroom), the model replaces the 300d entry-level diesel model. The new model boasts several performance and design enhancements with a focus on sporty looks and improved driving dynamics. Mercedes-Benz recalls 20,000 vehicles over fire risk
When the vehicle is parked, a short circuit could cause a fire. June 23, 2024 — Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 20,000 vehicles due to a risk of electrical shorts and fires. During Mercedes' August 2022 recall of vehicles for the same issue, the transmission wiring harness connection may not have been properly repaired. A fun and affordable luxury electric car from Mercedes
Mercedes is gaining momentum in the electric vehicle segment. They will launch the new EQA in India in 2020. July 8. This will be the fourth car in their electric car range. Mercedes India’s product line-up includes EQS Limousine, EQB and EQE. EQS is a luxury sedan, EQB is a 7-seater family car and EQE is a mid-size coupe SUV. EQA will be the most affordable all-electric car from the German automaker. The EQA is expected to be launched first as the EQA250+ model, with other models to follow. Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV to be launched in India on September 5
German luxury car brand Mercedes-Maybach will launch its all-electric EQS SUV in India on September 5. Once launched, it will be the company's most expensive electric car in India. While technical details are yet to be revealed, we expect it to be launched in the form of the 680, which was unveiled at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show in China in April. Overseas, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup, similar to that found on the EQS 580 SUV. The two motors are enough to produce 649 horsepower and 950 Nm of peak torque, while the claimed range is 600 kilometers with a 107.8 kWh battery pack. With the higher-tuned powertrain, the car can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, 0.2 seconds faster than the EQS 580. Top speed is claimed to be 210 km/h. In December 2021, Mercedes-Maybach unveiled its off-road luxury concept car. This is an all-electric custom model designed by fashion designer Virgil Abloh and is called "Project Maybach". Today, this electric concept car launched in memory of the famous fashion designer who passed away in November 2021 is currently on display at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center in Mumbai. Mercedes-Benz will launch two new cars in India on August 8 - CLE Cabriolet and GLC 43 4Matic Coupe. Ahead of this, the company has shared teasers of the models on its social media, previewing some of the design elements. The first thing we see on the CLE Cabriolet is its stylish LED headlights, which are inspired by the C-Class sedan. From the side, the car seems to feature a low profile, large wheel arches, and large wheels. On the other hand, the teaser image of the GLC 43 4Matic Coupe shows a coupe-like roofline, an AMG-specific grille with vertical slats, and large air intakes. While the blurry teaser image limits our view, the GLC 43 Coupe is expected to feature round dual exhaust pipes and forged 21-inch alloy wheels. Mercedes brake booster recall could take two years to fix vehicles, class action lawsuit says July 12, 2024 — A Mercedes-Benz brake booster recall is said to have done nothing to fix 2004 to 2015 Mercedes ML-Class, GL-Class and R-Class vehicles. That view comes from plaintiffs in the class action lawsuit, who claim that even with the brake booster recall, Mercedes "does not have a solution to repair or replace the defective brake system in a timely manner and estimates that a repair could take up to two years."
