We owned the 2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport for a week. any
Yesterday, we got the keys Come to the shiny new 2025 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport. Not much has changed since my colleague Luke Lamendola reviewed last year's model. But my review of the '25 Ridgeline TrailSport will be very different. For 2024, Honda has completely refreshed its midsize Ridgeline pickup truck. All trim levels get a new 7-inch digital instrument panel, a larger 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, and a redesigned center console. The biggest change to the Ridgeline is the addition of an outdoor TrailSport model. Like its sibling, the TrailSport delivers power from a 3.5-liter V6 engine through a nine-speed automatic transmission and i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drive, but it comes with all-terrain General Grabber tires, a specially tuned suspension and steel Quality oil pan skid plate makes it more capable on rough terrain. Luke talks you through the exterior, interior and driving highlights of the 2024 Ridgeline TrailSport. I'll give you my own take…
AutoHunter Spotlight: 1987 Chevrolet Half-Ton Pickup
if you haven't It's worth noting that "square" car design is making a comeback. Just look at the new Hyundai Santa Fe. Starting in 2024, the formerly round crossover gets a striking new design that actually achieves a better drag coefficient than the outgoing model despite its boxier shape. How did they do it? No mention of boxy vehicles would be complete without talking about General Motors' boxy pickup trucks, produced from 1973 to 1987. Here's a great case study from us: AutoHunter Featured This customized 1987 Chevrolet 1/2-ton pickup truck is being sold by a dealership in Shawnee, Oklahoma, with the auction ending Thursday. This is no ordinary square body. About 5,000 miles ago, the truck received a cosmetic overhaul: most notably, the original red paint was replaced with a new coat of white. Special extras include bedspreads, Craftec tilt bedspreads, chrome mirrors and stainless steel accents. 20-inch Showtime Billet wheels are shod with 335-wide Michelin Pilot Super Sport…

Toyota says the Land Cruiser ROX concept "could easily be envisioned as a future production model" but much will depend on public reaction November 1, 2024 16:29 The CALTY Land Cruiser ROX concept may be more than just a flashy SEMA build. The Toyota Land Cruiser ROX concept will be one of the most eye-catching highlights at the 2024 SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas, as it is a heavily modified roofless pickup truck variant of the new off-road vehicle. While most SEMA models are little more than imaginative one-offs destined to be forgotten, the range of custom-designed components on the ROX and cryptic hints from Toyota suggest it could evolve into an actual production model. Think of it as a lifestyle-oriented pickup version of a true off-roader. More: Toyota Compact…

Toyota quietly announced this year's SEMA lineup by posting two videos on YouTube previewing the same number of models. The Land Cruiser ROX concept is a wild pickup version of the new SUV, redesigned with a range of custom parts, while the 4Runner TRD Surf concept is a retro beach two-door with a distinct '80s vibe. The seller spent an impressive 26 years building this one-of-a-kind Porsche pickup truck. Powering this unusual ride is a 3.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces a respectable 240 horsepower. Porsche has never ventured into the pickup truck market, and hopefully (and pray) it never will. However, if you decide to own a custom pickup truck with the famous Porsche badge, be prepared to pay a hefty price for the privilege. You see, the wild creation you're looking at wasn't built in Porsche's factory, but it's still a real Porsche that was transformed into a truck. It started out as a 1987 Porsche 944, and over the course of 26 years (from 1995 to 2021) it slowly evolved from…

The Tasman will feature a body-on-frame construction and is expected to go on sale and deliveries in 2025. go through Brad Anderson September 26, 2024 06:59 The Kia Tasman will be sold in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Australia. There is a possibility of a high-performance version to compete with the Ford Ranger Raptor. The Kia Tasman pickup truck is likely to celebrate its world debut at the Jeddah International Motor Show in Saudi Arabia from October 29 to November 2. While Saudi Arabia might sound a bit of an odd choice for Kia to launch such a major new model, the Tasman will be sold throughout the Middle East and the fact is that there are fewer and fewer major international motor shows where the car can be unveiled to the public. Deliveries of the Tasman will begin in 2025. Watch: New…
Volkswagen Taigun SUV turns into a pickup truck, and its clumsiness is as
Skoda Auto Volkswagen India showcased its latest student car project in Pune. The Volkswagen Taigun was based on it, creating a pickup truck with strange proportions and rugged styling. This unique conversion took nine months to complete and used parts from the relevant Volkswagen Virtus sedan. Developed and built in India as part of a student car project, the Volkswagen Taigun is a subcompact SUV that has been completely transformed into a pickup truck. This bizarre creation blends the Taigun's five-passenger cabin with an unusually elongated rear overhang to make room for an exposed cargo hold. It's not the kind of mashup you see every day, and the result is both strange and questionable. var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:()}; adpushup.que.push(function() { if (adpushup.config.platform !== "DESKTOP"){ adpushup.triggerAd("4d84e4c9 -9937-4f84-82c0-c94544ee6f2a"); } else{ adpushup.triggerAd("6a782b01-facb-45f3-a88f-ddf1b1f97657"); } }); Unlike most SUV-to-truck conversions that involve modifying the body of the car, this one retains the original greenhouse and exterior panels. This Australian company will sell you a GMC pickup truck, even if GM
GM Specialty Vehicles says it will only sell GMC SUVs here, so if you want the brand's Sierra pickup truck, you'll need to find a conversion company. Australia's Autogroup International is stepping up its efforts to bring the off-road-ready GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4X to shore. The GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4X was modified by American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) and converted to right-hand drive by Autogroup International, so it doesn't have much competition in the market. Mated to a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission, it has a towing capacity of over 8,000kg and a payload capacity of over 1,100kg. This truck doesn't just have power. Daily Pick: 1931 Ford Pickup Truck Restomod
Despite the rich rewards Restoring a car, I can attest firsthand, is expensive, time-consuming, and very stressful. The alternative is to skip right to the fun part: paying a little more up front and getting something that's already ready to show (and maybe even win awards)! Today's pick is a 1931 Ford half-ton street pickup truck for sale on ClassicCars.com by a private seller in Moraga, California. (Click on the link to view the listing.) What we have here is a vintage-styled car that mounts an original Henry Ford steel truck body on a Roy Brizio powder-coated frame. Key engineering elements include a Heidts independent front suspension, a 1932 grille, and an aluminum three-piece hood. Under the hood is a 1970 351ci Cleveland V8 that was bored 0.020 inches larger than the original and balanced. I admire the builder of this truck for retaining all of the Ford components, as we often see small-block Chevy engines used in models like…
What I want to teach my son about cars
I recently received good news My wife was pregnant with our first child. When I cut into the special cake she ordered from a local bakery in Phoenix, Arizona, and saw blue instead of pink, I knew it was a boy. Naturally, my first thought was all the car-related nursery items and toys to (hopefully) make him a car enthusiast from an early age. Then I started thinking about what I wanted to teach him about cars at different stages of his childhood and adolescence. Of course, basic parts and mechanical knowledge are essential so that cars don't seem so intimidating. The same goes for how to perform basic maintenance and change a tire. I've included the content outside of these topics below as if I were talking to my son (please bear with me if my childish language needs improvement). Cars are an important part of the world Image credit: Mazda "What are those things you see through the…

Diego’s AutoHunter Picks
A little ashamed I realized that this week's AutoHunter picks are two of the most popular brands in the world: Chevrolet and Volkswagen. Both brands were born during the glory days of the mid-1950s, when America seemed unimpeachable. And, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. Prefer a Corvette? We have two, both new and old. Need practicality? The Chevy truck below shows off the talents of Harley Earl's team, with a bed in the back. And a German van that looks like grandma lives in it and never had an interior designer come to her house. Which one do you prefer? 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 454When I was still learning about cars, low-compression 1971s were looked down upon. Some cars, like Pontiac's 455 HO, later became famous for beating heavy machinery, but it took a while for other low-compression performance cars to catch up. On the other hand, you never heard of anyone complaining about…

2000 Volkswagen Jetta Pickup Truck Modification
this Daily Selection yes A Tennessee dealer has listed a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta pickup truck conversion for sale on ClassicCars.com. Truck-like vehicles, also known as coupes, haven't been popular for a long time. The Ford Ranchero died in the late 1970s, and the Chevrolet El Camino faded into obscurity in the late 1980s. Even Australia's Holden Ute went ute-ized in the last decade. But the coupe's waning popularity hasn't stopped people from converting a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta into a pickup truck. While the seller says the car was handmade by a company in Florida, it looks like it was made by Smith in Tiverton, Rhode Island. Regardless, it's unique in a way that the average Jetta from the 2000s doesn't have. They're undoubtedly popular, but there are so many of them that they blur into the background. They're victims of their own success. This custom Jetta truck doesn't have that problem. In fact, it might have the opposite problem --…
Daily Pick: 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme Pickup
Although Driving a 190-horsepower compact pickup truck sounds far from exciting, but the packaging around it makes for a fun but still practical driving experience in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Is the S-10 Xtreme really that extreme? Probably not, but it's definitely unique. Today's pick is a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme pickup truck for sale on ClassicCars.com from a private seller in Pottersville, Pennsylvania. (Click on the link to view the listing) The S-10 was originally introduced in 1982 as a small, affordable, versatile pickup truck. It replaced the previous Chevrolet "Light Utility Vehicle" (LUV), which was actually a rebadged/imported Isuzu KB pickup truck. A year later in 1983, the S-10 Blazer sport utility vehicle was introduced on the same platform, giving GM a strong light vehicle portfolio. The second generation model was introduced in 1994, which made the S-10 (and its GMC-branded sibling, the Sonoma) more competitive with the Ford Ranger. Five years later, the "Xtreme" package…
VW confirms all US pickup truck plans are dead
What is the saddest four-word story in the world? The Volkswagen pickup truck that was never produced. February 9, 2024 11:56 The pickup truck market has opened up a bit lately. After years of American dominance, there seems to be a window of opportunity for small foreign trucks, but VW isn't going to sneak into this market. The German automaker has officially confirmed that any plans it had for bringing a pickup truck to the North American market are officially dead. Sorry, Volkswagen fans.
