Buying a Porsche can be difficult because even the cheapest model, the 718 Cayman, isn't what you'd call affordable. But there is an alternative, which is to find a used Daihatsu Copen and turn it into a mini 911 with the help of fiberglass. "Coperche 811 GT-K" made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2025 last weekend and became one of the highlights and attracted widespread attention. After observing a pair and then three people racing each other, the officer decided to give chase. He jumped over the two people who were slowing down and chased a BMW M4, but failed to catch up. Some police officers will fish for something worthy of giving a driver a ticket. Others will wait patiently for a suspect to commit a foul before trying to ticket them. In the video below, a California Highway Patrol trooper does the latter and quickly discovers it's hard to catch some racers. It's unclear how the officer found the racers on California's Interstate 5, but our video begins with him catching up to two cars: a Toyota Supra and a BMW M4. While the officer was in the third of…

Tata Altroz Racing Long Term Review – First Report
The Altroz Race has been in our test fleet for more than two months, and the car has only covered about 75 kilometers. Yes, brand new, all plastics still there. What a joy it is to unpack a car and experience the “new car smell”. The Racer clocks up very fast kilometers and has now reached 2800 kilometers. Tata Altroz is not new to us. The hatchback has been on the market since 2019 and has received a few updates over the years. The Racer is Tata's attempt to make it a little sportier. I started using the Altroz Racer on my daily commute to work and the first thing that attracted me was the clutch, which has a long throw and a very sharp release point. The manual gearbox is also not smooth and feels notchy. Tata really should offer an automatic gearbox here. Other than the manual transmission, I don't find any major downsides to the Racer. In…

The new Peugeot 208 Racing has us craving street-legal rally racing

It has a turbocharged 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine with 143 horsepower. This model is designed to compete in France's new FR6 Trophy. The 208 Racing benefits from an upgraded turbocharged engine and sharper chassis setup, as well as the usual high safety standards, forming an affordable entry point into the world of motorsport. While we're happy that 208 Racing is launching a production model of the hot hatch, unfortunately, it's specifically designed to compete in the FR6 Trophy. Learn how Porsche entered the turbine age
Porsche is one of the earliest car manufacturers Turbocharged—and the push is coming faster. General Motors introduced a turbocharged road car in the early 1960s, but Porsche didn't follow suit until the early 1970s. As the carmaker stated, after major changes in the rules of the World Automobile Championship (which at the time included the 24 Hours of Le Mans), the goal was not to sell road cars but to build competitive racing cars. Porsche won its first overall victory at Le Mans in 1970 with the 917, and won again in 1971, winning the World Automobile Championship two years in a row. But in 1972, the governing body limited engine displacement to 3.0 liters. Rather than try to adapt to the stricter European rules, Porsche decided to switch to the less regulated Canada-U.S. Challenge Cup, better known as Can-Am. Porsche 917/30 Spyder Can-Am’s laissez-faire environment presents different challenges. The most competitive teams use large 8.0-liter V-8 engines, so Porsche…

Today, only Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton have won more, with seven each. 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196 (Photo courtesy of RM Sotheby's) Although Fangio won titles with drivers from no fewer than four teams, much of his success can be attributed to the W196.
