Today marks the 28th anniversary of the plane carrying Secretary of Commerce Ronald Brown and 34 others crashed while en route to a trade mission in Dubrovnik, Croatia, killing all aboard. ITA is committed to the goal of revitalizing American businesses and our international partners as they work to create business opportunities for the United States and newly independent Croatia. We pledge to remember the victims, 11 of whom were Department of Commerce officials, including five of our own from ITA. This is an important day for the international trade community to reflect and remember the colleagues we have lost and honour the legacy they left behind. At ITA, we do this by continuing the work of our global trade missions and working to revitalise the Balkans despite the difficulties. We also honour our team members whose contributions we have made by naming the ITA Memorial Award after them. Please join us today in honoring these men and their families.…
