The company will also close the Shanghai factory area where Model 3 is produced for a week. Two versions of this electric SUV have been confirmed for the Chinese market. It's just days since Tesla launched its facelifted Model Y, and the company is already preparing to optimize its Shanghai production facility, which will handle some of its global output. Some production lines will be suspended for three weeks to facilitate these upgrades, according to unnamed sources. Insiders familiar with Tesla's plans told Bloomberg that the Model Y production line will be idle from January 22 to February 14.
