MCACN Special Topic: The Troika of Hemis

There are people Some people like to claim that other cars are faster, but vehicles powered by the 426 Hemi are the measure of muscle car performance and appeal. AutoHunter Cinema Presents Three Mercury Cougars have been introduced for three consecutive years, although model year isn't the only distinguishing feature. One of these was a 427-equipped 1968 GT-E, a one-year-old performance car that was the only (and last) FoMoCo to receive a 427 that year. The other, a '69 car with a Cobra Jet, was a giveaway from Car Craft magazine and perfectly captured the culture of the time. Finally, there's the '70 Eliminator, which combines top-end performance options with a special black paint, a color not offered on the Eliminator. We acquired these three pieces at the 2024 Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson Auction.
