The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado will soon be arriving at dealerships, and the bowtie brand has announced a starting price of $38,995, including a $1,995 destination charge. That’s a slight increase from last year’s pickup’s starting price of $38,795.
Looking at the competition, the 2025 Ford F-150 starts at $40,605, while the Ram 1500 starts at at least $42,270, which is also quite favorable. In addition to the Big Three, the 2025 Toyota Tundra starts at $42,035.

So what’s new for America’s cheapest full-size truck? Nothing new, as its color scheme has been revised to include new hues like Cypress Gray and Rapids Blue. Customers will also find a newly available set of 20-inch high-gloss black wheels.
In addition to the styling tweaks, a handful of models receive additional standard equipment. In particular, the Work Truck (WT) adds cruise control, while LT and above models now come with a trailer brake controller. The off-road-focused ZR2 now comes with a premium audio system as well as front and rear park assist.
Under the hood, customers will find a variety of familiar engines, including a turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder with 310 hp (231 kW / 314 PS) and 430 lb-ft (582 Nm) of torque. Customers can also choose between 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8 engines with 355 hp (265 kW / 360 PS) and 420 hp (313 kW / 425 PS), respectively. If gas isn’t your thing, there’s also a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel with 305 hp (227 kW / 309 PS) and 495 lb-ft (670 Nm) of torque.
Back to the pricing, Chevrolet points out that the Silverado Custom Trail Boss is the “most affordable factory-lifted full-size light truck in the industry.” It starts at $53,795 with a 2-inch lift and the Z71 suspension.
