you can feel the energy in the airgenerated and shared by everyone involved in the Westworld Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction. That energy is unleashed every Friday when heavy cannons are fired across the stage, and crowds let out oohs and aahs when the gavel strikes.
It might seem like just another day at the Barrett-Jackson auction, but considering the antics of philanthropists Michelle Mauzy and Joe Reilly, we can tell you it’s anything but typical. Thank you to longtime Barrett-Jackson friends Mike and Tracy Patterson for donating a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse to charity to directly benefit Samaritan’s Purse to aid Florida, Georgia and hurricane relief efforts in North Carolina. Maury was the initial winner with a bid of $350,000 and then generously donated the pony car back for a second auction, which Riley won with the winning bid of $250,000. And, wouldn’t you know it, the Patterson’s donated an additional $100,000 – thanks to everyone who participated!

The two cars in question, from the David M. Ressler Collection and the GM Pace Car Collection, both hint at how the auction is leaning toward the American side of the automotive world. That’s not to say there weren’t beautiful cars from across the pond, like William Shatner’s Jaguar.
